What’s New at La Cala Resort?
We continue to invest in our guest’s comfort with the following renovations in our hotel and Clubhouse areas. At the Clubhouse, our expansion project is almost complete and will provide additional seating with a new terrace lounge area offering both shaded and unshaded areas to relax and admire the views.
At our hotel, we fitted all of our guest rooms with new bed mattresses and pillows. We are upgrading our bathrooms to offer convenient walk-in showers in all of our rooms, with work being performed whenever possible to minimize disruption for our guests. Our pool/game room has a new look with warm wood panelling and is located next to the Panoramic Bar & Restaurant. In our restaurant La Terraza, a brand new menu was introduced featuring internationally-inspired Mediterranean cuisine.
For your musical enjoyment, La Cala Resort offers weekly live music in our hotel lobby, as well as our popular Flamenco show in La Bodega Bar & Restaurant. Following the success of our St. Patrick’s Day Event, we will continue to showcase other themed events throughout the year. Join us at our upcoming “Fashion Show” on June 26th and “White Night” on July 9th.
GOLF
Our golf team is as excited about Spring as you are because the Bermuda grass on our fairways is showing signs of growth with our warmer temperatures. Check out our new collection of golf apparel which just arrived in our golf shop, featuring new designs from Adidas, Ralph Lauren, J. Lindeberg, Peter Millar and FootJoy.
We will be hosting our annual “TaylorMade Fitting Day” at La Cala Golf Academy on Thursday April 14th, offering complimentary fitting to improve your golf game by Taylor Made professionals who will be visiting on that day. On another note, our America course will be closed for regular maintenance on April 11th through 18th.
SPA
All of our boutique items are 100% “Made in Spain,” and we recently introduced a “new” skin care collection from Montibello, a quintessential brand from Barcelona. Our new “Age-Defying Facial,” sourced exclusively by Montibello, is now available on our facials menu and features a 12-step treatment program of skin rejuvenation. Also, by popular demand, we’ve expanded our Andalusian Therapy Suites for couple’s massages – one includes a private Jacuzzi and sauna, and our newest suite offers a private Hamman steam room.
PROPERTY SALES
Our real estate team has been busy selling La Cala Resort properties – beautiful Andalusian resale homes as well as new-built contemporary 2 and 3 bedroom apartments and townhouses. There are still units available developed by Taylor Wimpey Spain: Natura (Phase 2), Harmony (Phases 1 & 2) and Sun Valley (Phase 3). Also, a new spectacular show home located at Natura Phase 2 was recently inaugurated.
